UPDATE Feb 8, 2023... ABC News FABULOSO RECALL: 4.9 million Fabuloso cleaning products recalled due to bacteria risk. A number of popular Fabuloso cleaning products were recalled Wednesday by the Colgate-Palmolive Company due to risk of bacteria contamination, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. About 4.9 million units -- as well as about 56,000 units in Canada -- of various Fabuloso Multi-Purpose Cleaner products were impacted by the recall, according to the CPSC. The affected products were produced from Dec. 14, 2022 through Jan. 23, 2023, according to the company. "We are voluntarily recalling certain Fabuloso products because a preservative was not added at the intended levels during manufacturing," Fabuloso said in a statement on its official recall website. "With inadequate preservative, there is a risk of bacteria growth in the recalled products. The recalled products can contain Pseudomonas species bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Pseudomonas fluorescens, which are environmental organisms found widely in soil and water."

White vinegar is a very versatile cleaning agent. The hot Florida sun had baked the old solvent oil based sealer right into the face of the tile. It took two days to remove the ugly sun baked solvent based sealer from the tile. In most materials like Mexican tile, solvent-based sealers and high solid count water-based sealers of a similar quality will offer comparable protection, except that solvent-based oil sealers tend to fade and yellow in the hot Florida sun, see photos above. Solvent-based oil penetrating sealers contain higher amounts of harmful VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds). VOCs emit gases that are harmful to people, pets and the environment. A product called Mex Seal is banned in California for use and unable to be shipped to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, D.C. Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont, and Virginia.
